Besides, they also portray our culture, traditions, customs and lifestyles in a more meaningful and expressive manner while also teaching us to appreciate the value of our families, friends and relatives at the same time. After all, these things bring all of us together in a bond of love which may not always otherwise be possible. 1) What is the importance of different events and festivals in our life?Īnswer: Well, we may not all celebrate different events and festivals in our life on a regular, but we just can’t deny the fact that these events and festivals have some huge implications for our social, cultural and economic life. Part 3: Details Discussion/ Two-way Discussion It is so memorable for me also because the event allowed me to think and behave like a real adult for the first time! Needless, it is one of the most memorable events of my life, still to this date, because I had never really thought that I could ever own a motorbike at such young age, even though I held this dream secretly in my heart since my childhood. Then, when he actually handed me the key of that newly-bought motorbike, I felt like I was dreaming! But, a week later, when he actually asked me to go with him to a motorbike store, apparently because he was serious to buy a motorbike for me, I felt ecstatic. Initially, I thought that he was just joking with me or comforting me.
In fact, I was wasting a good one and half hours of my valuable time every day travelling back and forth to my college because I was using a local bus.Īs soon as I discussed this problem casually with my maternal grandfather, he told me that he was going to buy a “scooter” (a type of small and lightweight motorbike) to help me commute to my college quickly and easily. Now, while everything else was going so smoothly about my new life, one thing was making me a bit uncomfortable, and that thing was the length of time that I was actually spending in order to commute back and forth to my new college from home. Naturally, I was quite excited, upbeat and enthusiastic about starting a new college because it had allowed me to meet new people, make new friends, and learn about new environments. Well, it all happened about 5 years from now when I had just started junior college. Thankfully, I have also had a number of such memorable events in my life, and I will go ahead and share the story of one such event. Living would be a rather boring affair if we didn’t have any important and memorable events in our life once in a while. Finally, and probably very importantly also, it allowed me to explore my life and the world around me on my own, away from the comfort of staying at home with my parents, while studying at one of the best universities in my country. Besides, it made me feel really happy and emotional because my years of hard work and efforts had finally paid off, even though none of my family members or friends believed that I could actually pass the test because of my illness. This event was memorable to me mainly because it was after this event I started to feel more confident, which I really lacked up until that point, about my life and its overall goals.
But, luckily, to the best surprise of my life, I did pass the admission test, and I did manage to attend the University of my dream, far away from my home town. So, naturally, I thought that I wasn’t going to pass the test. But, I didn’t want to attend just “any” university as I had prepared myself, at least I thought so during that period of time, for attending the best business college in my country except, of course, I needed to pass a very hard and comprehensive university admission test before I could actually fulfil my dream.Īnyway, as if passing a hard test wasn’t enough of a problem, when I took the test, I was actually suffering from some really bad cough and fever. So, naturally, it was time for me to go to university. It was about 10 years ago, and I had just finished high school while still living with my parents in my home town.
Anyway, I would like to talk about one such event which, well, has helped me become the person I am today. While we tend to forget most of these events, some of them do stick to our memories because of their profound meanings and values to us.
